Penicillin – derived from amino acids. Example: Penicillin
Aminoglycosides – contain a sugar molecule linked to amino compound. Example: Streptomycin.
Chloramphenicol – synthetic analogue
Tetracycline – have four six-membered fused ring. Example: Tetracycline and terramycin.
