FUNCTION

  1. Choline is an important factor in the prevention of fatty liver. Absence of choline in the diet leads to accumulation of fat on the liver, leading to fatty liver.
  2. Acetylcholine plays an important role in the transmission of nerve impulse.
  3. When bacteria acts on tissue choline, water is split from choline to produce poisonous base called neurine.
