Among the scores of modern theories that attempt to explain the origin of the universe, the popular big bang theory based on Sir Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity and proposed by George Gamow conceives the universe as having started out as a very hot gas. Made up of neutrons it decayed into protons, electron and neutrinos. He and Ralph Alpher theorized in 1948 that all elements in the universe resulted from early thermonuclear action. The proposal of a very hot beginning for the universe by all big bang theories seems quite in agreement with the transformative changes that culminated in the formation of prithvi according to the ancient Samkhya perception of the origin of existence.
