TYPES OF RNA

In all prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms, three general types of RNAs are found: ribosomal, transfer, and messenger RNAs. Each of these polymeric forms serves as extremely important informational links between DNA, the master carrier of information and proteins. The three types of RNA molecules differ from each other by size, function, and general stability. Table 5.5 shows RNA molecules in E. coli.
