- Elixir—sweetened hydroalcoholic solution
- Spirit—solution of aromatic materials in alcohol
- Tincture/Fluid extract—solution prepared by extracting active constituents from crude drugs by use of alcohol or hydroalcohol
- Injection—sterile and pyrogen-free solution intended for parenteral administration
